Explain how and why producers of radio programmes target different audiences. Refer to the Radio 1 Live Lounge to support your answer (10)

Producers of different radio programs will target different audiences to get a wider range and amount of viewers for a certain show such as in the BBC radio 1 live lounge that is aimed at 15-29 year old’s they back that up by getting artists or personalities on their program that would be in the age bracket for primary audience/viewers that way they can maximize their viewers whilst also trying to attract a secondary or tertiary audience they can do this by having artists on who are primarily for teens but still attract that older age bracket an example of this can be seen in an episode of live lounge when they have Sam smith on and in the crowd you could see a mixed audience from the target 15-29 year old’s but also with middle aged and even older  this way they can assure their target whilst still attracting other viewers.

  1. 6/10 – On target. PLEASE READ THE COMMENTS AND MAKE THE CHANGES.

Your target audience range is too wide. Ideally you need to stick with an age range of 4-5 years. Remember to draw on the demographics as well!

“They back that up” – This is not a good phrase to use. I understand what you’re saying, but you need to say ‘they target this audience because…’

    Where is your punctuation!!!!!!????

Your answer isn’t bad, however you need to also comment on the style of music that attracts the target audience.
Also remember, the examiner won’t know that you’ve watched a specific Live Lounge episode. Make this clear.
