How are the elements of the theoretical framework used to construct representations? (10 Marks)

the elements of the theoretical framework are  used to construct representations one way this is done is the way they are represented to us through their age and race such as in the little mix music video black magic they are all seen as to be around the age of 18-20 this makes the seem like they are just normal people and the fact that they are all females helps construct that image of being strong and independent having the power to do what they want this is seen when they get their powers and have control over others

Context also helps construct the image of a band such as the Vamps in their music video Somebody to you this is seen in the location as in the music video they are on a beach implying that they are down to earth and just like you. There is also the context with the boys being on a beach with other girls on what seems like a holiday this represents them as having the same interests and liking the same thing as you.

Is the way the artist is portrayed in the video really how that person dresses and acts in real life? (10 marks)

the way that artists are portrayed in music videos is usually very different to how they dress and act when they act by themselves an example of this is  in little mix black magic when little mix are at first wearing baggy covering clothes with little to no make up on and when they have their transformation they are then wearing tight revealing clothes and lots of make up while singing about how they like a boy this is very different to how they would act and dress in real life 

Another example of this is seen in the vamps somebody to you as they are portrayed as down to earth and just like you for example they dress in summer clothes and are trying to impress girls this is very different as in the real world their life would be very different to in the video

Consider the editing - how does the frequency of cuts from shot to shot affect how you feel about the video?

the editing can affect a music video dramatically an example of this is in little mix black magic where the editing is fast paced and creates the idea of a conversation which makes the audience feel involved in the music video and it gives the audience a happy feel and shows them this is a pop music video

this can also be seen in the vamps somebody to you as the editing is fast pace going from cut to cut this makes you feel happy and fast instead of slow and sad due to the lighting and editing  

How is are the artists dressed - is that how regular people dress?

In little mix music video for black magic they are dressed in two ways in the first half in baggy covering clothes which is what some people choose to wear but when they gain their magical powers  then have a change of clothes to tight and revealing this can be how some people choose to dress although it is quite unpopular to wear fancy clothes all the time 

Another way this is seen in in the vamps somebody to you where they are wearing shorts and a tee shirt which can be seen as normal as it is quite popular to dress like that and they also wear swim shorts this creates the one to one feel for the audience as they dress like them.
